Last Saturday we joined a group of Nissan Skyline R33 owners on a road trip down south to Jelebu via the winding b-roads of Kuala Klawang. The group, aptly named THIRTY THR33 TRIBE, is a group of R33 owners including various types across the whole platform; GTT, GTS and GTRs. All sharing the same passion for their R33 machines, built by Nissan between 1993 to 1997.
The drive was divided into two groups; the slower, first-timers joined the first group, and the faster more experienced ones joined the second group. The destination was the Chin Swee Temple Car Park, right below the top of Genting Highlands. The drive up was wet, which resulted in a few incidents along the way. Due to the hazardous road conditions, all participants were reminded to be safe and drive responsibly prior to the drive.
Chin Swee Temple Car Park was PACKED with not just old school rides, but also with new and modern rides! Organized by BackwheelBitches, the annual Kiss Of The Horizon 2017 (KOTH 2017) event saw numerous builds and makes from various disciplines and backgrounds. A great day up in the mountains!
This morning's route went through the scenic b-roads of Ulu Yam, winding up through the mountain with some light traffic. The drive ended with a quick photo shoot at the Chin Swee Temple Car Park right before the Auxillary Police came by and closed the barrier to the place.
Last Sunday we were privileged enough to follow (keep up with) a group of legit, prime and prepped BMWs sporting the infamous "///M" badge up to Genting Highlands. BMW M, M standing for Motorsports, is a division within the company that specifically tunes, modifies and produces high performance cars which are generally sold to the public.
A total of 14 R32s came to the event which was scorching hot. The perfect weather for you to go through a set of brand new rubbers while lapping the 1.6km circuit. The MIMC track is a tight and technical circuit which might be a bit too small for the likes of these R32s. Nevertheless, they had fun doing drifts and such throughout the tight and twisty turns.
Last weekend Volkswagen Balakong - Wing Hin Autohausand ATM Performance organized a small gathering for Volkswagen R Owners. The event was a small get-together in a warehouse near the Wing Hin Autohaus in Balakong with a BBQ dinner supplied by Lamb Story and a group shot of all the R owners in attendance.
Today, we joined VWClubMalaysia, one of the biggest Volkswagen Community in Malaysia for their usual car club meet up in Genting Highand Chin Swee Carpark. We didn't expect to see Audis and BMW but some of them made way to join the fellowship. A short drive to a meet, packed nasi lemak was served with a cool breeze on a Sunday morning and good company, that's pretty much sums up to a Sunday well spent.
Malaysians are really a creative bunch of people. Judging by the modifications that they have done to their rides. There is truly no limits to what we Malaysians can come out with. Pushing the modification scene to the next level. The passion of each owner is reflected deeply in their rides. The utmost dedication these enthusiasts show is really something admirable.
We spotted a fleet of MyAlza boys gathered at the Sepang International Circuit yesterday. This is in conjuction with their Mega Gathering 2016. With more than 100 cars parked neatly across the Sepang car park, it indeed was a MEGA gathering! Without any delay, we quickly took the opportunity to take some shots. Please enjoy!
