This morning's route went through the scenic b-roads of Ulu Yam, winding up through the mountain with some light traffic. The drive ended with a quick photo shoot at the Chin Swee Temple Car Park right before the Auxillary Police came by and closed the barrier to the place.
Last Sunday we were privileged enough to follow (keep up with) a group of legit, prime and prepped BMWs sporting the infamous "///M" badge up to Genting Highlands. BMW M, M standing for Motorsports, is a division within the company that specifically tunes, modifies and produces high performance cars which are generally sold to the public.
A total of 14 R32s came to the event which was scorching hot. The perfect weather for you to go through a set of brand new rubbers while lapping the 1.6km circuit. The MIMC track is a tight and technical circuit which might be a bit too small for the likes of these R32s. Nevertheless, they had fun doing drifts and such throughout the tight and twisty turns.
The atmosphere during Speed Junkies was very exhilarating and truly reflected the automotive and motorsports scene in Malaysia. The car guys came out in full force to end their 2016 with a bang. Trackday participants could be seen negotiating through turn 1 and 2 of the Sepang International Circuit as attendees were walking about in the Autoshow. The day was HOT and luckily it did not rain, we received forecast that we would be getting some showers in the afternoon but thankfully it blew over.
A few months ago, we organized the infamous 'Midnight Attack'; a drag meet in a secluded housing area in Elmina. The reason why it was 'infamous' is because we managed to gather a crowd of 1,000 cars in attendance dragging along a 300 meter strip of road which eventually attracted the attention of the police. We ended our night (morning) at the police station with a stern warning from the authorities.
This morning we held our very first Speed Junkies Touge session which was in conjunction with our upcoming #SPEEDJUNKIES2016 event in December. We were at BHP Karak Highway by 6:30am and the crowd had already formed! We announced earlier on our Facebook and Instagram Pages that our meetup time would be at 7:00am but the station was packed to the brim by then.

Malaysians are really a creative bunch of people. Judging by the modifications that they have done to their rides. There is truly no limits to what we Malaysians can come out with. Pushing the modification scene to the next level. The passion of each owner is reflected deeply in their rides. The utmost dedication these enthusiasts show is really something admirable.
You could never wake up on time for work no matter how many times you snooze your phone. But when there is a morning drive, you are wide awake 2hours earlier than the said meeting time. Sounds familiar? I'm sure lots of you are nodding your head in unison. Seeing that it was Merdeka day and it is a public holiday, we decided to have an impromptu drive up to one of the infamous touge routes here in Malaysia.
